Berkshire Corporation is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Warehouse Employee for our 1st shift operation; hours are 7a – 3p, Monday through Friday, with overtime available during the week and on Saturdays.

Key Job Function:
- Prepare finished product for domestic, international, and internal shipments.
- Receive freight.
- Deliver components and work-in-process materials to manufacturing floor.
- Participate in physical inventory & cycle counts.
- Consolidate inventory in warehouse locations.

Qualifications of Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Six to twelve months’ related warehouse experience.
- Proven record of exceptional attendance in previous positions.
- Ability to solve problems which require one or two math operations, some work with fractions & decimals.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, which contain several steps and may require a choice when changing conditions call for a different action.
- Ability to record shipping, receiving and quality related information in writing and via computer.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions as intended.
- Intermediate computer skills; ERP experience preferred.
- Ability to become certified and operate forklift adhering to safety guidelines.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
- ISO facility experience preferred.
Job Description - SHIPPING:
- Deliver components and work-in-process materials per Work Instructions to manufacturing areas.
- Prepare, domestic, international, FedEx, DHL, and UPS shipments per Work Instructions utilizing hand-held scanning devices.
- Palletize product according to pick list.
- Stretch wrap pallet per Work Instructions.
- Label product and pallets appropriately.
- Create general bill of lading and packing list.
- Evaluate material and follow procedure for reporting non-conforming product.
- Use of judgement to comply with instructions or prescribed routines, methods and/or practices.
Job Description - RECEIVING:
- Receive raw materials, packaging, subcontracted, and finished goods in M3 using a computer and handheld barcode scanner.
- Unload/admit inbound freight using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect freight for damages, completing Non-Conforming Material Report, if applicable.
- Deliver received goods to appropriate personnel, rack, or storage location.
- Generate Receiving Documents.
- Receive finished goods per the Work Instructions.
- Receive returned goods per the Work Instructions.
Job Expectations:
- Observe safety and security procedures and uses equipment and machines properly.
- Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.
- Apply common sense to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
- Expectation to work scheduled hours, arriving on time and staying through end of shift.
- Participation in physical inventory.
- Other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager or Warehouse Manager.
